The calendar

Five recurring formats.

Between them they cover the public, the membership, and the specialists inside member institutions.

Format 01 · Quarterly Confirm · Virtual · Open to the public · 90 minutes

Industry webinar series

Public sessions on the themes shaping non-interest finance in Nigeria. Past editions have covered Transformational Development through Non-Interest Finance and Repositioning Non-Interest Banking to Deepen Financial Inclusion in Nigeria, drawing regulators, member chief executives and independent experts.

Format 02 · Annual · In person

Annual industry conference

The sector's set-piece gathering: members, regulators, international bodies and investors in one room. The agenda tracks the year's regulatory movement and the annual industry data release. Open, with member rates.

Format 03 · Monthly Confirm · Hybrid · Members

Practitioner workshops

Technical sessions for member staff — contract structuring, Shariah audit, non-interest treasury operations, takaful underwriting, AAOIFI-aligned reporting. Small groups, working from live cases.

Format 04 · As regulation moves · Virtual · Members

Executive briefings

Rapid-response sessions for boards and senior management when a regulator moves — a new CBN circular, a SEC rule change, a capital deadline. Convened within days, not months.

Format 05 · Annual · In person · Member institutions only

Annual General Meeting

Where members approve the accounts, set subscription rates, elect the Executive Committee and ratify constitutional changes. One vote per full member institution.

Upcoming

Upcoming events

Showing 0 scheduled events.

No events scheduled right now.

Event announcements go to the mailing list first, and to members before that. The Secretariat publishes the calendar once dates are confirmed. Populate on launch

Build note: in the WordPress build this section becomes The Events Calendar + Event Tickets, per content/12-events-webinars.md §7. In this static build the grid renders its empty state and the registration form below stands in for the plugin's own module. The featured-event card hides automatically when no event is scheduled.

Registration

Register for an event

One screen. A confirmation lands immediately, with reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before.

What every registrant gets

  • Immediate confirmation with add-to-calendar links
  • Reminder 24 hours before — the highest-impact email in the sequence
  • Reminder 1 hour before, with the joining link in the email body as plain text
  • Follow-up within 48 hours: recording, slides, the recap article, and the next event

Registered but cannot attend? The recording link goes to every registrant whether or not they attended — so registering is worthwhile either way.

You're registered.

A confirmation is on its way to the email address you gave us, with add-to-calendar links. We will remind you 24 hours and 1 hour before the session starts.

The joining link goes here.

Archive

Past events

Every NIFIAN event stays online — recordings, slides and the recap. An event page that becomes a permanent record of what was said is worth more after the event than before it.

Transformational Development through Non-Interest Finance

NIFIAN's third industry webinar. Stakeholders tasked the association with deepening financial inclusion across Nigeria.

Note to the Secretariat: this archive is only as good as the record. Three things need capturing at every event — a recording, the slide deck, and 5–10 photographs — assigned to a named person before the event. The 48-hour recap turnaround cannot be met without them.

Partnerships

Speak, host or partner

Propose a speaker or a session

Working on something the industry should hear about? We are particularly interested in original research, regulatory analysis, and practitioner case studies from inside member institutions. Send the topic, a two-line summary, and who would deliver it.

Invite a NIFIAN speaker

Universities, conferences, chambers of commerce and media organisations can request a speaker on non-interest finance, sukuk, takaful or financial inclusion in Nigeria. Give as much notice as you can — Executive Committee members are serving chief executives.

FAQ

Event questions

The public webinar series is free and open to everyone. Practitioner workshops and executive briefings are member benefits. The annual conference is open to non-members, with preferential rates for member institutions. Confirm

Not for the public webinar series or the annual conference. Practitioner workshops, executive briefings and the Annual General Meeting are restricted to member institutions.

Yes. Webinars and conference sessions are recorded and published to the past events archive and the Finance Hub video library, usually within a week. Registered attendees receive the link directly.

Nothing you need to do. The recording link goes to every registrant, whether or not they attended, so registering is worthwhile even if you are not sure you can make it.

It is in your confirmation email and repeated in the reminders sent 24 hours and 1 hour before the start. If you cannot find it, email the Secretariat — do not wait until the session begins.

Yes, but each person should register individually so that everyone receives the joining link, the reminders and the recording. One registration forwarded around a team means one person gets the emails.

All times are West Africa Time (WAT, UTC+1) unless stated otherwise on the event page.

Never miss one.

Event announcements go to the mailing list first, and members before that. One email a month at most.

We will email you when the next event is scheduled.

Members get in first — priority registration, member rates on paid sessions, and access to workshops and briefings not open to the public.
